Robot is a JavaScript library in the works. It started off last June when @RobbertAtWork wanted some fast, thoroughly tested, best of breed scripts as building blocks for a complex web application. The open source code base is testament to this research. The first release (in October) will have support for all browsers from Internet Explorer 6 onwards, and 100% code coverage to prove that.

The mission is to make it easy developing robust apps that work reliably accross platforms.

Fork it from the Mercurial repository.

why call it ‘robot’

Oscar Wilde wrote in The Soul of Man under Socialism: The individual is to make what is beautiful. (…) It is mentally and morally injurious to man to do anything in which he does not find pleasure, (…) All work of that kind should be done by a machine.
